Waseela-E-Haq Salient Features
It promotes credit/ loan as human right.
Its mission is to help underprivileged families to help themselves to overcome poverty. It is targeted to the underprivileged, particularly deprived women.
It is not based on any collateral but trust.
It is offered for creating self employment for income generating activities as opposed to consumption.
This is initiated as a challenge to the conventional banking system, that rejects the underprivileged after classifying them non-creditable.
BISP provides the services at door step of the underprivileged’s. This scheme is entirely interest free in every respect.
Waseela-e-Haq is based on the premise that underprivileged have skills, which remain unutilized or underutilized and untapped. It’s not that lack of skill makes some one underprivileged.
