IDPs Swat/Malakand, Outline of the Programme
  • ERP was extended to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Swat/Malakand.

  • BISP’s criteria for the exclusion and inclusion of families as beneficiaries were relaxed. However, the requirement of CNIC and the recipient of the cash assistance can only be female was not compromised.

  • BISP opened special offices to register and verify the IDP families for the ERP and at all the camps and districts where the IDPs were residing.

  • BISP’s monthly cash assistance will only be provided to the IDP families verified by the Special Support Group (SSG).

  • Cash assistance to the 318,126 IDP families are distributed through the Benazir Smart Card.

  • UBL has opened special distribution points in all the six districts (Swat, Buner, Dir, Shangla, Malakand and Charsadda).

  • Approximately Rs. 3.8 Billion rupees will be distributed to these IDP families.
