Introduction

Government of Pakistan has decided to extend relief under the Banazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to the earthquake affected districts, namely, Pashin, Ziarat and Loralai of Balochistan. This relief has been provided in the form of Emergency Relief Package (ERP)i.e.Rs.1000/- per family per month with retrospective effect from October,2008.The Provincial Set-up of BISP oversee and coordinated implementation of the ERP in Balochistan, its application forms have been distributed by NADRA in the three affected districts.

Data Entry/Filteration of Beneficiaries

• Data entry has been done by NADRA as per the parameters of Regular BISP forms.
  
  
• Camp No, Camp Registration and Camp Name were not considered/entered.
  
  
• ERP-forms have been attested by parliamentarians’ i.e. Member of National Assembly/Member Provincial Assembly or a senator hailing from these districts. But later on SOP has been changed and the forms were attested by DG, BISP (Balochistan).

Filter/Rejection Criteria

• CNIC Verification (Exists/not exists) in NADRA database for applicant and receiver.
  
  
• Verification of name/receiver name as per available on form with CNIC.
  
  
• Receiver should be female.
  
  
• ER Balochistan beneficiary should not be beneficiary of BISP.

Payment Mechanism

• Payment is being made to ERP-Balochistan through Pakistan Post as per the parameters of regular BISP payment.
